
Xue Biao
Professor of violin in the Orchestra Department of Zhejiang Conservatory of Music.
Xue Biao, born in Wuxi, China, studied at Shenyang Conservatory of Music, Shanghai Conservatory of Music and the University of Houston. He won a prize in the 2nd National Violin Competition, first prize in youth group of the Kingsville International Violin Competition in the U.S., and the second prize of the Kansas International Violin Competition. He also won the Excellent Performance Award of China National Chamber Music Competition, and Zhejiang Music Award issued by Zhejiang Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Zhejiang Musicians Association. He has worked in China Central Orchestra, New American Chamber Orchestra and Granada Chamber Orchestra in Spain. In 1991, he served as the Concertmaster of the Royal Sevilla Symphony Orchestra in Spain. In 2007, he served as a violin professor at Shanghai Conservatory of Music. In 2009, he served as the concertmaster of Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra. Since September 2020, he has been a violin professor at Zhejiang Conservatory of Music.he also appear as guest concertmaster of Shenzhen symphony orchestra,Xian symphony orchestra and Shaanxi symphony orchestra.
